The foundation stone has been laid for a project to rehabilitate and operate the Al-Muslimiyah Cement Plant in rural Aleppo, with an estimated investment value of approximately $200 million.

The project is being implemented through a partnership between the General Company for Cement and Building Materials Manufacturing and Marketing, “Omran,” and the Turkish company ÇİMKO. [sana.sy], [syria.tv]

A Syrian-Turkish Industrial Partnership

The project was launched following the signing of an investment agreement between Omran and ÇİMKO to rehabilitate and operate the plant.

This partnership brings together local industrial assets, investment capital, and technical expertise to reactivate the facility and develop its production capabilities.

A New Integrated Production Line

The project includes the construction and operation of a new integrated production line with a daily capacity of 5,000 tonnes of clinker.

Completion Within Twelve Months

The new production line is scheduled for completion and operation within 12 months of the site’s handover.
