Job Summary:
A Field Engineer in structural and piping plays a critical role in overseeing the execution of Jadwa’s infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards. The engineer coordinates site activities for gas plants, oil tanks, and related systems. Responsibilities include supervising installation, reviewing designs, coordinating with contractors, and solving field challenges to ensure timely and effective delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implementation Leadership
- Supervise piping/construction projects for gas/oil installations
- Manage sub-projects from planning through execution
- Site Coordination
- Oversee all construction site activities
- Act as main contact among project managers, contractors, and field staff
- Technical Oversight
- Review engineering drawings and perform technical calculations
- Guide teams on precise implementation and structural integrity
- Quality and Compliance
- Inspect piping systems for adherence to ASME/API standards
- Execute quality checks and material verifications
- Problem-Solving and Risk Management
- Resolve technical issues and site-based challenges
- Conduct risk assessments and apply corrective actions
- Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare project documentation and maintain accurate logs
- Record and report on any design or implementation changes
- Vendor and Contractor Management
- Ensure suppliers meet timelines and quality expectations
- Evaluate technical bids and supervise procurement and delivery
Required Skills and Qualifications
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering field
- Advanced certifications in project management or safety (preferred)
Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of field experience in oil & gas or industrial construction
- CAD proficiency and piping-specific software knowledge
- Familiarity with piping stress analysis and technical inspections
- Material selection, QA/QC, and HSE compliance experience
Personal Skills:
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and team coordination abilities
- Flexibility to work in field conditions and manage multi-site tasks
- Advanced English language skills
