Job Summary
The Assistant Feasibility Studies Officer is a supporting member of the economic and financial analysis team. The role contributes to data collection, preparing initial drafts of feasibility reports, and performing basic analyses that support the Feasibility Studies Officer in evaluating investment projects. This position plays a key role in the decision-making process by providing organized and accurate information.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Supporting Feasibility Study Preparation
- Contribute to collecting financial data and preliminary project information.
- Prepare initial drafts of sections within feasibility reports under direct supervision.
- Enter data into financial analysis models.
- Assist in preparing cash flow statements and basic financial assumptions.
2. Project Costing and Financial Indicators Analysis
- Collect prices of materials, operational costs, and market data.
- Prepare preliminary cost tables.
- Conduct basic calculations for financial indicators such as:
- NPV
- IRR
- Payback Period
(under direct supervision)
3. Supporting Market and Demand Analysis
- Perform desk research on the target market.
- Gather competitor information, prices, and economic trends.
- Prepare short summary reports based on findings.
4. Assisting in Risk Assessment and Management
- Enter data into sensitivity analysis tools.
- Prepare simplified scenario models as instructed by the direct supervisor.
5. Administrative and Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with marketing and finance teams to gather needed data.
- Prepare initial PowerPoint presentations.
- Organize project files and documentation.
6. Compliance and Legal Support
- Collect information related to tax, customs, or regulatory requirements.
- Prepare summaries of relevant laws and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Relevant training certificates in financial analysis or feasibility studies are an added advantage.
Technical Skills
- Good proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced functions).
- Basic knowledge of:
- Power BI (preferred)
- SPSS or any analytical tool
- Basic understanding of financial and economic analysis methods.
Personal Skills
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong data organization and time management abilities.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Willingness to learn and work within a multidisciplinary team.
Work Environment
