Job Summary:
The Feasibility Study Officer is a strategic analyst who integrates financial understanding, economic research, and risk management to ensure the success of investment projects. The role involves evaluating project feasibility by analyzing financial, market, and operational aspects to support strategic decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Economic and Financial Feasibility Studies:
- Develop plans for conducting feasibility studies.
- Analyze project costs, including capital and operational expenditures.
- Estimate projected revenues and prepare future cash flows.
- Assess financial feasibility using indicators such as:
- Net Present Value (NPV).
- Internal Rate of Return (IRR).
- Payback Period.
- Market and Demand Analysis:
- Study the target market size and level of competition.
- Analyze consumer behavior and economic trends.
- Assess factors influencing demand, such as economic, social, and legal aspects.
- Evaluate the project’s competitive advantage in the market.
- Risk Assessment and Management:
- Identify and analyze financial, operational, and market risks.
- Develop alternative scenarios (worst-case, average, best-case).
- Propose risk mitigation strategies such as insurance, financial hedging, and diversification.
- Utilize risk analysis tools like Sensitivity Analysis and Decision Tree Analysis.
- Coordination with Stakeholders:
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, and engineering teams to collect and analyze relevant data.
- Provide clear financial and strategic reports to senior management and investors.
- Prepare presentations to support investment decision-making.
- Compliance and Legal Analysis:
- Ensure project compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
- Assess tax and customs implications affecting economic feasibility.
- Coordinate with legal advisors to ensure full compliance.
- Investment Strategy Evaluation:
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses.
- Utilize artificial intelligence and big data techniques for financial forecasting and risk analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Preferred professional certifications include:
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
- PMP (Project Management Professional).
- Diploma in Financial Analysis.
- Technical Skills:
- Financial Analysis: Understanding financial statements, financial modeling, and feasibility indicators.
- Analytical Tools: Proficiency in software such as:
- Excel (Pivot Tables, Solver).
- Power BI, Python, or R for data analysis and financial forecasting.
- SPSS or financial simulation software.
- Economic Research: Ability to collect and analyze data from sources such as the central bank or market reports.
- Soft Skills:

- Effective Communication: Presenting reports in a clear and simplified manner to management and non-specialists.
