Job Summary
The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the financial department, establishing and maintaining a comprehensive financial system, supervising accounting teams, ensuring the integrity of financial records and operations, and providing strategic financial analysis to support executive decision-making while ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulations.
key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s financial system and ensure continuous improvements.
- Supervise the accounting team and oversee daily financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and analyze company performance.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable and ensure healthy cash flow.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes and provide proactive financial insights.
- Review contracts and procurement activities from a financial perspective.
- Coordinate payroll processes with the HR department.
- Ensure tax compliance and timely submission of financial reports to regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with other departments (sales, operations, inventory) to monitor expenses.
- Represent the company in front of financial institutions, auditors, and government bodies.
- Establish and enforce internal financial policies and controls.
- Produce financial studies and risk assessments to support strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications:
- CPA – Certified Public Accountant
- CMA – Certified Management Accountant
- MBA with a focus in Finance (is a plus)
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Financial Modeling).
- Experience with ERP accounting systems.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ability to analyze data using tools like Power BI or financial dashboards.
- Understanding of local taxation and regulatory frameworks.
