Introduction:
We are seeking a Procurement Officer with hands-on experience specifically in the food sector and retail stores. The ideal candidate should be capable of efficiently managing procurement operations, building strong supplier relationships, and achieving the best value in terms of price, quality, and contract terms.
Job Purpose:
To achieve financial and operational efficiency by selecting the right suppliers and products, negotiating deals with flexible payment terms, and ensuring stock sustainability through close coordination with warehouses and stores to resolve any supply shortages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of procurement and sourcing plans and coordinate with suppliers to secure the best prices, quality, and contractual terms.
- Manage purchasing operations, issue purchase orders, and ensure product availability to maintain smooth operations and prevent stock shortages.
- Continuously coordinate with warehouses and retail stores to monitor inventory movement and identify actual branch needs.
- Monitor offers and purchasing opportunities, and conduct market analysis to improve profit margins and procurement efficiency.
- Adhere to procurement budgets and approved policies, and conduct feasibility studies for deals before approval.
- Prepare periodic reports and collaborate with relevant departments to ensure product quality and improve procurement and supply processes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of proven experience in procurement and supply chain, preferably in retail or trading companies, especially within the food sector.
- Strong experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and quotation analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
